The short version

Larpit is a small, community-run site for posting and arguing about larps. We keep just enough data to make accounts, sessions, and voting work, and nothing more.

What we store

When you make an account, we store:

  • Your username and a securely hashed password.
  • Basic account details, like when you signed up.
  • Your activity on the site: the larps you post, the comments you leave, and the votes you cast.

We do not sell your data to anyone, ever. It exists to run Larpit, full stop.

Cookies

  • A session cookie, so you stay logged in between visits.
  • A cookie to remember your light/dark theme choice.

These cookies are all functional — none of them are used for advertising or tracking you across other sites.

Where it lives

  • Your data is kept in our database, secured behind our servers.
  • The site itself is hosted with standard cloud hosting providers.
  • We do not share your data with any third-party services.

Basic server logs (like IP addresses and request times) may be kept briefly for security and debugging purposes.

Your controls

  • You can stop using Larpit and log out at any time.
  • To request that your account and data be deleted, reach out through our support page and we'll take care of it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page. Keep larping responsibly.
